I painted this after reading about the most dangerous place in world history. 100 million years ago, ferocious predators, including flying reptiles and crocodile-like hunters, made the Sahara the most dangerous place on Earth. New York feels a little like that right now.

Mountain Dwellers is the feeling I have right now about seeking nature, but being stuck in the city during an epidemic. I'm seeking nature so much that I want to go live in nature now. This painting helped transport me there.
